One of the areas that Gary has enjoyed working in the most has been his work with youth. He coached Little League baseball teams for ten years coaching over fifteen different teams. He coached youth league basketball teams through his local church for seven years as well as coaching and managing soccer teams in Tyler and Whitehouse for children from age five through seventeen. During his time working with youth he also taught Sunday school classes involving children from first grade through tenth grade.
In his time away from the office Gary owns and operates a personal ranch with a herd averaging around 100 head of cattle. He and Cheryle do all of the work themselves as it has developed into much more than a hobby. Most evenings and weekends you will find Gary on one of the tractors, nursing a sick cow/calf or you may see him headed to the sale barn with a trailer load of calves.
